Mobility and wellness begins in childhood. A pediatric therapeutic massage is a good launching pad for your child's mobility wellness. As adults undergo physical stresses of life, so do children! Pediatric therapeutic massages are great for children who are in sports, undergo growth spurts, have musculoskeletal diagnosis that limit mobility, or demonstrate sensory overload.

We want to make sure your child moves well in all things play and life. Parent/legal guardian must sign consent and be present for session.

Meet Katie; PT, DPT, LMT

Katie, our primary massage therapist in Republic, MO, has experience with a medical background. She holds credentials as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).

Katie strives to be the best massage therapist in Republic, MO. She saw a need for more accessible wellness healthcare and  founded Refuge Wellness as a means to help people progress through a wellness path.

Her background in medical massage therapy allows for a unique, specialized approach in guiding people through a health and wellness journey centered around mobility, performance, athleticism, and functional movements of everyday life. Thus, Katie's greatest strengths reside in sports massage, mobility education, and injury prevention.
